Watching this movie feels like watching a strange dream. A young hat maker named Sophie has an ageing spell put on her by the witch of the waste. Scared, she runs away and wanders into an area full of wizards and other magical creatures. There she finds Howl, a mysterious wizard with a strange castle. She moves in and acts as his housekeeper.
